Bio-Identical Hormone Replacement Therapy

Not everything is fibromyalgia! If you are experiencing alot of symptoms related to hormone issues, please see your doctor <3

I have recently done a bunch of studying on Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) and have found some startling info!

There was a study done by the Women’s Health Initiative on thousands of women using HRT’s. They had to quit the study early due to the rapid increase in cancer and heart disease. But those same HRT’s are the ones the doctors still prescribe to us! What?! you say? Yep, that’s my response. Here’s a link for more info: HRT Study

There is another form of HRT called Bio-identical Hormone Replacement Therapy.(BHRT) Susanne Summers brought it to the public eye, her theory is a little extreme if you ask me! However, the science is still there and totally makes sense!

There have been no double-blind studies done on BHRT, but it’s been used for 20 some years with no reports of increase to cancer and heart disease, like the other HRT’s. Premarin is one of the dangerous ones that I tried for a month and SO glad I stopped using it! It just made me feel awful, so I quit, not even knowing how unsafe it is!

I am giving BHRT a try 🙂 My symptoms got bad enough that it became a necessity! It’s been almost 2 months and btw, sex CAN be pain-less and fun, just in case you’ve forgotten! 🙂

True Balance is the company I use in Canada, I’m sure you will be able to find something similar where ever you are!

Prometrium is the Projesterone I use at night to help me sleep and it works awesome and puts the spring in my step again 🙂 Then I use a topical Estrogen cream with a tiny bit of Testosterone in there in the morning, and that helps with other symptoms.

The creams can have salicylates in them, just to warn ya! There are 2 cream bases that I know of that are sal-free, there is a Galaxal cream base and the Vanishing cream base. Ingredients for the Vanishing cream: water, caprylic/capric triglyceride, glyceryl stearate, cetearyl alcohol, stearyl alcohol, ceteareth-20, glyceryn, polyacrylamide, C13-14 isoparaffin, laureth-7, BHT, disodium EDTA, methylisothiazolinone, methylchloroisothiazolinone.

The hormone ingredient is a chemical that is added to the base creams, so you don’t have the worry about the hormone ingredient. 🙂

Here’s my other post on: HRT and Salicylates!

My advice: hang in there and don’t give up! If you are here at my blog, you probably CAN feel better than you do right now! Do your research, learn and study till you are certain of what you need to do. Enjoy life again! I am!! 🙂
