Guai-Aid and the Guaifenesin Protocol

Guai-Aid has posted their Long-acting Guaifenesin caplets for sale!

They are said to work for approx 10 hours, this makes them great for the Guaifenesin Protocol to take every 12 hours. They haveonly been tested out for about 6 months and so far everyone is doing really well on them as evidenced by their mappings πŸ™‚ But their medium acting guaifenesin capsules have been tested for a couple years and proven to work IF they are taken every 8 hours. So far, this company has been a reliable resource for Guaifenesin. YAY! I am excited about this caplet since many people struggle with the schedule of every 8 hours.

Thank you to Annette Kam and her Hawaii group for testing and mapping regularly on the guai aid capsules to make sure it works. It’s been over a year now and they are still using it and doing well πŸ™‚ Here is a quote from her from over a year ago:

“…it’s time I share what we in Hawaii are doing. I wanted to inform you there is a guaifenesin that is available and has been around as long as fibro pharmacy’sΒ one and at ONE THIRD THE COST! I have been using it for the last 7 months. My cost has dropped from over $50/month to $19/month and I am a higher dose than most. The average person on guai taking currently 600mg twice a day who needs to go up to 600mg three times a day with the Guai NF veggie cap, will pay only $11.70/month with this “newer” guai.

“…I have been on the protocol since Oct. 2000.Β  we have spent the last 7 months testing this particular guaifenesin in our group and on 8/31/17, I gave my full endorsement to this guaifenesin called GuaiAid. My mapping was the best it’s ever been. We tested it taking it 3x/day making sure it was every 8 hrs. for the full 24 hour coverage, and we’ve proven it does work indeed!” ~Annette Kam

I must remind you, that for the capsules to work, they MUST be taken every 8 hours, as close to the hour as possible. NO exception! If you cannot stick to this schedule, then I encourage you to check out one of the other Types of Guaifenesin that are effective for the protocol.

The caplets are more expensive then the capsules, but still cheaper then the other types of guaifenesin out there and you only need them twice a day instead of 3 times a day πŸ™‚

Annette has said that they are testing the caplets now too, to be sure they will be effective for the guaifenesin protocol. So far so good!

This is what I do to help me remember when I’ve taken my guai-aid capsules: I set an alarm on my phone, and then 15 minutes later I have it go off again, just to be sure I haven’t gotten side tracked on my way to the kitchen lol! This alarm goes off every single day, 3 times a day. I ALSO, flip over my bottle once I’ve taken it. SO once I take it in the morning at 7:15am, I flip it right-side up, in the afternoon at 3:15pm, I turn it on it’s side, in the evening at 11:15pm, I turn it upside down. Here’s what that looks like:

After my morning dose, I turn my bottle right side up.
once I take my afternoon dose, I turn it on it’s side
once i take my evening dose, I flip it upside down.

And there you have it! Options! I personally love this brand of guaifenesin! 1/3 the price of other types of guaifenesin is such a blessing! It gets here to Canada from the States within a few days to a week. They are so kind when you call with any issues and always have some discounts available. If you are part of my Facebook support group called Fibro Buddies On Guaifenesin Protocol, we have a discount just for you too πŸ™‚ What type of guaifenesin are you taking for the protocol? How are you doing on it? I take guai-aid capsules, every 8 hours and it’s working great!
