I am hearing so much discouragement today, and I just wish I could give you all a big HUG <3
I wrote this in 2013 when I was just starting our fibro buddies Facebook support group, it still applies today, so thought I would re-publish it. Love you all!
It’s the little things you have to keep track of that will give you hope. After a year, The only things that were improved for me, is that I was sleeping better, no hot flashes (if i stick to the Hypoglycemia, Low Carb diet) less mood swings, and I could go on long drives without having to recuperate for a week š And my mom had to remind me of these things!
Check your symptom journal too!! Mine went from 120’s to 60’s in a year and half. š
A year really isn’t that long. You clear a year of fibro deposits in two months on the guaifenesin protocol. So, after a year, you should be feeling almost like you did 6 years ago. Most of us have been REALLY sick for ALOT longer than 6 years. I know I have!
I KNOW the one year basket is where we put all our eggs, and it does help to have a goal. Just remember to make a NEW goal when that one doesn’t get reached. š Think back to when you actually felt GOOD. Now, THAT is when you want to aim for, with our little equation.
There are probably LOTS of little improvements you are making and just not noticing! Go visit a family member or friend who hasn’t seen you in a year. We all have those people. And ask them to be REALLY honest about if they see any improvement. Now, please DON’T go to the NASTY relative that likes to make everyone feel as miserable as they are m kay? š
Just repeat after me: PAIN WITH PURPOSE. PAIN WITH PURPOSE. PAIN WITH PURPOSE. You will always have pain with fibro (until you clear). The question is: will it be because your fibro deposits are growing and getting worse, or because you are CLEARING and getting BETTER?! š
YOU GOT THIS!! ā„

Thank you for reminding me that you clear 6 yrs. of fibro deposits in one yr. on the protocol. That helps me put
where I am today, starting my tenth month in better perspective. Appreciate the positive post.

You are welcome Karen! There is just a ton of info to take in, you’re doing great! 10 months is good progress! Hang in there! š
Thanks for the positive thoughts! It is easy to forget to look for the improvements when Iām not feeling good!
I hear you! Everyone feels that way. It’s a long road to recovery, but totally worth it. I try to just focus on one day at a time, it helps me not to stress about tomorrow <3
Hi, New to the bogging community and a new follower! This is great info. Thanks~
