Stevia as a sweetener and salicylates

Some people are more sensitive to salicylates than others and will block on small amounts. Like a tiny trace of real Stevia leaf in the Stevia sweetener. We know of several who have been mapped and seen the improvement once Stevia was stopped being used. You might not be one of those people, but are you willing to take the chance? I hope not!

The first couple years are really important for finding your clearing dose and beginning to recognize clearing cycles, but what it feels like to block, most can’t tell this without being mapped! Please don’t chance it if you are not being mapped!

You will see posts about Stevia and it being ok to use on the protocol in other forums. If you are being mapped by Dr St Amand or Dr Congdon, and they’re willing to walk with you through trying out these things, that is totally up to you! For the rest of you who don’t have the benefit of their care, PLEASE don’t risk it! Stay as crazy safe and careful as you can possibly be when it comes to sals. Take NO chances, your health is worth the diligence!!

If you are on the HG diet and looking for a sweetener, try Xylitol and/or Splenda. But be careful with these! Sweeteners cause your weight loss to slow down, and can have a cumulative effect on your body so that you can begin to feel sick using them without realizing it. Try just staying away from sweeteners and sugars most of the time, have something sweet just once a week for a treat, it’s much healthier anyways. Fruit has never tasted sweeter to me since I started to do that a month ago! 🙂
