Here’s a few mosquito repellant options that are safe for the protocol.
I used to use original green Palmolive soap directly on my skin and that worked, but it also has blue, which we can’t have anymore since it slows down mitochondria, making us even more tired than we already are, and who wants that?! Plus, it slows down clearing our fibro symptoms. Totally not worth it.
I’ve heard of putting a Bounce sheet in your pocket, supposed to keep mosquitos away, and the upside? Makes you smell like fresh laundry! YEAH! 😀
There are these bug-repellant clip ons that you just clip to your clothes that are supposed to work as well. It’s not touching your skin, so should also be sal-safe 🙂
I recently heard of these patches that you can put on your clothes that are deet-free and use
Essential oils to repel the mosquitos. You will need to use care in handling them so you don’t get any on your skin since Essential Oils will block your guaifenesin from working.

*update July 2018* OFF! Deep Woods contains alot of citrus essential oils in the fragrance and is no longer sal free or safe to use on the protocol. See the fragrance ingredients in this spray can and This Pump.
The only OFF! insect repellant that is sal-free is the OFF! Deep Woods Sportsmen Insect Repellant. And it really does work better than the other OFF products anyways 🙂 It’s little but it’s fragrance free so dosn’t have the Essential oils to worry about.
