FAQ: Can Laundry Soap Stall Clearing?

Short answer: “Yes laundry soap can stall clearing and also block your guaifenesin from working to reverse your fibromyalgia symptoms.”

Tide with blue- unsafe for protocol

So far, we have been saying to watch for laundry soap in hot countries where you sweat a lot. Most clothes washers are trying to conserve water now, which means that more soap is left on your clothes. I know that when I rinse out a wash cloth that’s just gone through the wash, there are bubbles that form, just from water.

We have just heard today from a patient of Dr St Amand, he is suggesting that laundry soap could be affecting her clearing.

Update Jan 21 2019- we have heard from a reliable source that Dr St Amand has seen at least 2 patients he is sure are not clearing because of laundry soap, possible 3 more, unconfirmed.

All free and clear safe for the protocol

Since this patient shared her story, we’ve seen others step forward with similar stories of having stalled clearing from blue dye or blocked on salicylates in laundry soap, and when it was changed to a safe one, resumed clearing again, as evidenced by reliable mappings.

So, both blue dye and salicylates are a problem with Laundry soap now. Please check for both. Castor oil can be found in the MSDS ingredient lists of some Tide laundry soaps.

I personally have been using Blue Tide laundry soap and now will be going out to get some safe kind. Or maybe I’ll start to make my homemade laundry soap again. Yes, I don’t like change either, but YES, it’s totally worth it, if it means the difference between clearing or not.

There is an ingredient called Florescent Brightener in laundry soap. When you Google it, it looks all blue, but it’s a different kind of blue, not this one we are talking about that stalls clearing.
