Hey buddies!!
I know, it’s been a while! I’m currently trying something new for my fibro that will be a bit controversial. I’m giving it 3 months and will let you know how it goes. I have a lot of hope that it will help heal up my leaky gut that is causing a cascade of symptoms including a growing list of food allergies.
In the mean time, I will share some recipes from my other site that can get you started on low carb, or HG recipes.
Some are HG lib and some are strict. If you are new to eating this way, I suggest you start with the lib recipes for a week or 2 and work your way to the strict side of things for weight loss as needed.
Just a reminder that to lose weight, lowering carbs is all it takes for a lot of people, but for some of us, we have to cut back much further, to more of a keto type diet. I was gaining weight on the hg diet because my carb load was just high enough to keep me out of ketosis, but the added fat I was eating to keep me satiated made me gain weight. So watch your amounts! If you are increasing your fat, you need to decrease your carbs.

Starting with side dish that is perfect for fall!
Zucchini lasagne low carb, sugar free, hg lib
Prep Time: 15 mins
Cook Time: 45 mins
Ingredients:
Zucchini
Tomatoes
Onion
Cheese
Salt
Directions:
Butter your casserole dish.
Layer sliced zucchini, sprinkle salt, then sliced tomatoes, sliced or chopped onion and grated cheese.
Layer the above until your casserole dish has 2 inches of space from top of dish.
Top with generous cheese and cover.
Put in oven at 375 degrees for 45 mins. Take cover off half way through cooking to brown cheese.
Let sit 5 mins and serve! YUM!
The more layers you use, the more liquid you will have, so if you make a big casserole like I do, you will need bowls! 🙂
