I was tired of having to schedule my life around my chronic pain. The idea of going on a vacation was scary, because I could never know how much time I need to rest from each outing.
When I started going to school and going to work, I had to rest a LOT on weekends and nights. I had no time for going out to play. Having fun was a luxury.
I found this group on 11/5/17. Started the Guaifenesin Protocol the following day with the Fast-Acting 300Mg 3x a day. However, when I read the book by Dr St Amand called, “What Your Doctor May Not Tell You About Fibromyalgia”, I started using the Extended-release Guaifenesin 300mg 2x a day. I was really sick and tired of being sick and tired since being diagnosed since 1998 with fibromyalgia along with rheumatoid arthritis.
On November 14th, I decided to make an appointment with Dr. Paul St. Amand in Los Angeles for December. The first three weeks was a huge rollercoaster, but having read the book, I hung in there. The fatigue, the aches and pains in my legs (was really unreal!!), and everything else — I just told myself, “This, too, shall pass.”
Sure enough, when I was in my 5th week, I was getting up every morning at 5 am, going to places… I was excited, because I got a new job starting the day AFTER I see Dr. Amand. I knew by the way I was feeling, I had enough energy for flying from Seattle to LA on Wednesday and go to work on my first day on Thursday. The doctor said I was doing GREAT!! My left thigh was already clearing, and to increase my dose from 300 to 600 2x a day. I’ve not CRASHED ever since. I have time to play… *happy tears*
I’ve flown out to see my family in Montana several times since then. My family members are seeing a huge change in me, more positive, more outgoing, more accountable, and reliable.

Kelly had more to share with me after I put the first post together, so instead of trying to put it together, I thought making a new post would be fun! You can see her first post by clicking on her name in the tags below this post. 🙂
