PLEASE check the ingredients in your HRT creams for salicylates! It’s a topical product that goes on your skin and goes directly in your blood stream. (I believe that’s the point of using the topical HRT stuff!)
Many of them will have plant oil, gel or extract in them (Salicylates) and will block your Guaifenesin from doing it’s job. You will need to talk to your doctor and pharmacist about this and make sure you have a list of all the ingredients that will go into your creams.
These are the oils that are ok: CROWS: Corn Rice Oat Wheat Soy, animal oils, mineral oils, chemical oils. Any of those oils are fine to use in the creams.
I personally use Bio-identical hormone therapy since I had a hysterectomy when I was 32. We use the Galaxal base at the compounding pharmacy, as this is a sal-free base in Pharmacies in Canada.
Here’s an online store that sells a projesterone cream that is over-the-counter and salicylate free! The projesterone hormone is a chemical extracted from yams: Springboard Projesterone Cream.
This will also give you an opportunity to share the protocol with your doctor. SO make sure to bring your Paper that Dr St Amand wrote for Doctors with you!
