Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) and fibromyalgia

About Irritable Bowel Syndrome. Some thoughts from Chapter 10 of Dr St Amand’s book, What Your Doctor May Not Tell You About Fibromyalgia.”

So, I am reading through chapter 10 again and am reminded of so many people with fibromyalgia who have these symptoms. And I have some friends who are stopping the Guaifenesin protocol to try to deal with these, thinking it is separate from Fibro, it may NOT be!

IBS: gas, diahrea, constipation, acid reflux, leaky gut, GERD, heartburn, migraines, can even feel like a heart attack it’s so painful! It can be all fibro and if it is, it will be reversed with the protocol and diet!

**Please make sure your doctor has ruled out all other options first, as these symptoms can be telling you there is something else wrong. Always check with your doctor before dumping everything in the fibro bucket!!

These can be symptoms of Fibromyalgia and Hypoglycemia! which means that as we clear on the protocol, we will no longer have to deal with them!

Even many issues like parasites and yeast issues can be cleared up with this protocol according to Dr St Amand! Don’t try to deal with this separate from the protocol. For one, you have to stop the protocol for most of the treatments for these, and for two, it won’t last and you will have to keep doing the same treatment again for that same issue. On the protocol, it will CLEAR and you won’t have to deal with that one issue again! YAY!

Dr St Amand writes that if you have IBS symptoms, and are NOT Hypoglycemic, there is an 80% chance of clearing up the IBS with a diet of cutting out simple carbs and sugar. He says to use the same Hypoglycemia diet, only you CAN have caffeine or alcohol.

He states that if you do this for 6 weeks, you can clear your IBS! And then after 6 weeks, you start to try some of the simple carbs and see how your body tolerates it. There IS light at the end of the IBS tunnel! 😀

Here’s something that is helping me with acid reflux in the meantime: I use an alkalizer, cuts back on too much acid, which can cause damage in there. For me, this has been a huge help. What has helped  you while you wait for the protocol and HG diet to reverse this symptom?
