I am a Low Dose, Fast Responder

Being a low dose fast responder for the Guaifenesin Protocol means that my fibro body needs very little of the Guaifenesin and I FEEL it, ALL THE TIME. I am only one of the 20%. The rest of people on the Protocol, use at least twice as much Guaifenesin and cycle more gently and slowly, and have better days long before I do. This can be a great discouragement to me.

BUT! On the other hand,

when I am done cycling, I will be WELL. There is no gentle ebb and flow of cycling for me. It’s constant and it’s relentless. Until it’s over. Ahhh, for that day!!

(this post was written May 20 2013, 18 months on the protocol, you can see the rest of my story here.

Things are really improving, and it’s hard to see that when the fatigue is still strong enough to keep me from any exercise, lest I overdo it and end up in bed for a day or 2.(this happened when I tried walking for 5 mins straight on my treadmill.)

For instance, I had a friend over who is a really close friend, we’ve sat and talked for hours and hours at least weekly. Well, today she mentioned a trip she took for a year and I was SHOCKED that I hadn’t heard this story before. How embarrassing. Yes, she’s TOLD me the story before, but I was too tired and spaced out with fibrofog to take it in! I TOOK IT IN today! I even asked questions and had so much fun hearing her stories!

Are YOU a low dose, fast responder? I have made a Facebook Group for us. It’s real unique, check out the name (and link): Low Dose Fast Responders on the Guaifenesin Protocol ๐Ÿ™‚ย  It’s SO helpful to have folks that get it, with fibro and also with the Guaifenesin Protocol. This group is for US! ๐Ÿ˜€

Come on over, say hello and tell me where your from and how long you’ve been on the protocol!
